Tina Louise

Tina Tina Amanda AmandaMaureen was a champion in sports and was a fan of rough, competitive sports. Her ability to perform was the perfect match for her interest in sports. This was apparent when she took home every Feis in drama and theatre that Ireland had to offer. At age 14 She was admitted into the Abbey Theater, where her passion for classical theatre and operatic music was followed. However, this plan was later modified, however, when Charles Laughton, after seeing an audition for a film of Maureen fascinated by her hauntingly beautiful eyes. Prior to casting her in Jamaica Inn (1939), Laughton along with his co-star, Erich Pommer, changed her name to Maureen FitzSimons to "Maureen O'Hara" - - a more concise name for the marquee. Maureen FitzSimons' subsequent movie (The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1939-1939) was set to be produced at RKO Pictures in America under a contract to Laughton. The film's epic nature became a massive success and the contract of Maureen was transferred by Laughton through RKO. At 19, Maureen was already in two motion picture majors alongside Laughton.
