Dakota Blue Richards was born in England. She is an English actress. She's played Lyra Belaqua in the film 'The Golden Compass' and Franky Fitzgerald for the British teenage drama Skins. She has also been extensively in the stage, performing in productions of plays like "Arcadia" as well as 'A Streetcar Named Desire'. Richards is a Londoner and grew in Sussex. Richards attended a handful of acting classes at school but was mostly taking acting lessons on the weekends. She also skipped school for auditions. The first time she appeared on screen as an actor was in "The Golden Compass. Richards was widely recognized for her acting skills, though the film received lukewarm review. She made her television debut that year, in the film Dustbin Baby.
